Welcome to Joshua's Heritage Farm

Our motto..."good attitude and horsemanship will take you far."

Joshua's Heritage Farm is a family oriented and affordable hunt seat and western pleasure equestrian farm located just outside of Williamsburg in Toano, VA.  Our three professional trainers with proven show records on the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) combined to offer our clients over 85 years of equine experience.  Not only have our trainers competed and received national and international recognition during their careers, but our students, under our training, have also started achieving national and international recognition.  While we spend a lot of time in the show ring, we spend more time at the farm providing the horses with utmost care and focusing on our families.  We strongly believe in the importance of having fun with our horses, keeping a family oriented atmosphere, and working hard to reach our goals; whatever they may be.

Weddings and Events At Heritage Farm

We had an absolute blast this evening at the event at Williamsburg Winery!  Looking forward to working with so many wonderful brides, and others for fun events here at Joshua's Heritage Farm.  Please visit Weddings at Heritage Farm  for more information on our packages, and the venue.  Coming soon to Weddings at Heritage Farm will be our corporate and family events.

As we start another year at JHF I would like to thank everyone for a wonderful and prosperous 2013, and fantastic Christmas party!  Be on the look out for award pictures from 2013 as we are attending three different award banquets for our AQHA and USEF students.  Just as the previous show year comes to an end with awards presentations, we are back in to full swing as we prep for a busy and fun, yet competitive show year in 2014.  I am looking forward to having Maddie Weiler join us at a couple AQHA shows, and our hunter girls and boys showing at the VHSA associate shows.   The farm will also host it's very first horse show benefiting Dream Catchers.  Dream Catchers is a therapeutic equestrian center that works miracles in the lives of so many people!  We could not think of a better way to give back than to help out or fellow equestrians who give so freely to those in true need.  The show will be later in the year during the month of October.  A specific date will be announced soon, so get ready to mark your calendars.  We are very excited to see this show come to fruition, and make a true difference in lives.  Last, but certainly not least, I, Joshua, will be completing grad school in May and hope to start on the beginning stages of opening a substance use treatment equestrian center here in Toano.  It is definitely a big year for JHF, and we are looking forward to the many wonderful things God is doing here.

2013 Year End Awards

Congratulations Bailey Troutman on all you have accomplished in 2014!

Please check back for awards for other students as we attend banquets for the different associations.

Health Management Clinics

The health and well being of our horses is very important to us.  We have learned that there is a lack of health care clinics in the Hampton Roads area.  Therefore JHF is working hard to put together a series of clinics to cover topics such as: diet, stall care, pasture care, hoof care, etc.  Please check back in the next couple of months for a schedule and more information about these clinics.

4-H Chapter

We are looking forward to our first meeting this week.  Very soon the charter will be set up, and can't wait to start all the fun 4-H activities!

4-H is well known for getting youth involved in many activities, and education.  Joshua's Heritage Farm believes in educating the community on horses.  We can think of no better way to get the youth involved than to charter a 4-H club specifically designed around equestrian sports.  If this is something you are interested in getting your children involved with please contact us using the contact form on this site, email, or call either Joshua or Jennifer.
